The group's principal activity is to provide air medical transport services and systems. The group operates through three business segments: the community-based services segment provides medical care, aircraft operation and maintenance, 24-hour communications and dispatch and medical billing and collections. The division operates 72 helicopters and three fixed wing aircraft under both instrument flight rules and visual flight rules in 15 states, concentrations in California, Arizona, the midwest, the southeast and the metropolitan areas. The hospital-based services segment provides air medical transportation services to hospitals located in 16 states. The group's products division designs, manufactures and installs aircraft medical interiors and other aerospace products for domestic and international customers.
